You would think that Ed would want to distance himself from fellow party hack Charlie Rangel. Yet Ed is still sitting on $9000 dollars given to him by the disgraced former chairman of the Ways and Means Committee. The money is tainted and so is Ed for not returning the money.

The winds begin to shift for Ed Perlmutter
Granted this news is about 2 weeks old now, but it's very encouraging to see what was once considered an easy win for Ed "Tax and Spend" Perlmutter, turn into a real race. Ryan Frazier, a republican challenger for Ed's seat outraised him in the last quarter of 2009.
It appears that many of you in District 7 are as sick of Perlmutters pandering to special interests, like Big Labor and Wall Street bankers, as I am.
Find a well written report on Ed's fund raising failure at Hip Hop Republican, and while you're at it, take a look at Ryan Frazier's campaign web site here, "Frazier For Colorado" or better yet, let Mr. Frazier tell you himself.

Perlmutter supports forcing homeowners into "Green" upgrades
Ed Perlmutter is throwing his support behind a bill, (REEP), that will FORCE homeowners into retrofitting their homes to meet Federal energy guidelines.
You heard that right. Inspectors will evaluate your home and then force you to spend your hard earned dollars to meet their "Green" standards. Your freedom to enjoy your home as you wish will be taken away from you at the whim of government bureaucrats.
Frankly if I want to break out all the windows in the winter and run the furnace 24 hours a day, it's my business and not the Federal governments. Check out a partial list of supporting organizations to see who profits from your forced spending:
