Anyone But Ed, is currently devoted to the defeat of U.S. Representative Ed Perlmutter(D) from the 7th District of Colorado in his re-election bid in 2010. In the coming weeks and months we will show you exactly why we think Ed Perlmutter holding public office is a bad idea. We at Anyone But Ed are not grinding a partisan ax. We want to see Ed Perlmutter defeated in 2010 by a Republican, Democrat, Independent, or a monkey, if that would remove him sooner.
Around these parts our motto is "Anyone But Ed"!

Why Perlmutter won't run for Governer
Since Bill Ritter has decided not to run for re-election Ed Perlmutters name has been mentioned as a possible candidate.
I highly doubt this will happen for two reasons.
First it's much easier to ignore voters when you are 1700 miles away from them than it is when you live amongst them. Canned responses to letters and phone calls won't work when the pitchfork wielding mob is on your front porch.
Second, Perlmutter would have to give up receiving the wads and wads of campaign contribution cash he's wallowing in as a result of his membership on the House Committee on Financial Services.
So don't get your hopes up if you want to see Ed destroy the State of Colorado as well as he's screwing up the US as a whole.

I hope he runs. When he loses we would be rid of him in the 7th, too.
His votes for stimulus, healthcare "reform", cap and trade (with sweetheart deals for himself and his cronies imbedded) would never endear him to the rest of Colorado.
Run, Ed, Run! Feed your ego!
You've got a good point there Lakewood. But if he did run and win, by some strange chance, the damage to my beloved Colorado would be even worse than Tax Ritter has managed.
